Position Summary
Nuclear Site Service Specialist/Job Sponsors are Project Managers for commercial projects and systems owned by Site Services. They are responsible for scope, budget, planning, scheduling and implementation. They are also job sponsors performing oversight and technical direction for commercial contractors working at the nuclear facility per maintenance contracts. Perform contract management for station services such as janitorial, site maintenance and food service. Additional responsibilities include site vehicle management, coordination of site events, inclement weather planning and response. Provide technical support and leadership role in directing, monitoring, and oversight of the work activities for the Site Services Maintenance Teams and contractor activities at Nuclear Stations with emphasis on Industrial Safety, Human Performance, Customer Service and Schedule Adherence. This requires the ability to demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills in coordinating maintenance, modification and troubleshooting activities that have the potential to adversely impact plant reliability and safety issues. Duties include:
- Oversight of the contractors, both baseline and managed task.
- Oversight and management of material handling both online and outage.
- Ownership of site system structures including space and infrastructure planning to meet the sites needs now and long term.
- Management and coordination of outage planning ensuring space is available for supplemental outage support and equipment and placed in compliance with NSDs.
- Oversight and management of site tools, equipment and calibrated measuring & test equipment including calibration and PMs to ensure the station has the equipment required.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: scope, budget, estimates, implementation and oversight.
- Technical support for Site Services activities: maintenance and PMs, Tool and equipment purchases.
- Job Sponsor for supplemental resources and contracts: job oversight and planning
- Long term planning for facilities and equipment: plan, budget, schedule to maintain the reliability of Site services systems and facilities.
- Manage group priorities: Performance improvement, assessments, Events, EP.
- Support ERO as required.
Required/Basic Qualifications
- 5 years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- High School/GED degree
- In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate sound judgment and creativity in resolving a variety of technical problems.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate to all levels of employees, management and contractors in an effective manor
- Project Management work experience
- Apparent and Root Cause training
- Experience performing cause evaluations.
- Detailed knowledge of the implementing Nuclear Station Modifications
- Detailed knowledge of Site Services work processes
- Job Sponsor work experience
- Detailed knowledge of procurement processes
- Demonstrate ability to manage oversight of supplemental resources.
- Previous experience evaluating project proposals and making recommendations to Site Management.
- Previous Experience as Group Performance Improvement Coordinator and IPA lead
- Experience scheduling, coordinating and monitoring work for ongoing projects to achieve goals and objectives in an efficient manner.
- Previous experience evaluating project proposals and making recommendations to Site Management.
- Experience preparing cost estimates and schedules for upcoming work activities, monitor approved projects through to completion. Provide budget information on services and proposed projects.
- Experience using computer applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft applications WORD, EXCEL, Facility (DREAM) and station work management processes (NAS)
- Detailed knowledge of Performance Improvement processes including PIP, Job Observations, and Self Assessments.
- Experience and ability to serve as Group Performance Improvement Coordinator and lead
