TITLE: Chemical Mix Technician (Night Shift)

SHIFT:



  • 7:00pm - 7:00am on a 2-2-3 Rotating Work Schedule (every other weekend)

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Operate DSI blender and eductor, and transfer skids to deliver correct quantities based on production schedule and product quality needs.
  • Activate tanks, agitators, pumps and hoses to ensure delivery of finished solutions to production lines in a timely manner both physically and through the system.
  • Understand production schedules to determine chemical and timing for product solutions.
  • Run and read blending recipe reports in accordance with Iatric blending recipes per formulation to complete blending documentation.
  • Maintain expectations of cleaning, blending and supporting any related manufacturing process to Chem Mix.
  • Perform and document cleaning and sanitation on all equipment used in the Chemical Mix Area.
  • Document lot numbers, times and quantities of chemicals on blending DHRs for traceability.
  • Measure chemicals, mix various formulations, transfer solution.
  • Understand and follow the lotion tote process and policies surrounding tote: filling, storage, recycling, usage life cycle, tracking and so on.
  • Assist in the moving of raw materials, CIP / SIP totes and supplies for water systems with forklift.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 Year of manufacturing experience as an operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Preventive maintenance experience and mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to learn JD Edwards inventory management/scanning system.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Knowledge of FDA-regulated manufacturing / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) a plus
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification, aerial lift certification, HAZWOPER 24 training and respirator fit testing/certification.

  • Ability to read, write, calculate and analyze
  • Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color recognition.
  • Ability to stand and walk during 12-hours shifts with regular breaks
  • Occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching
  • Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Repetitive arm/hand movement

  • 95% of work will be performed indoors
  • Chemical hazards, exposure to fumes, odors
  • Although the facility is climate-controlled, the temperature will fluctuate slightly with changes in the seasons.
  • Hearing protection may be required in designated areas of the facility
