Senior CADD Technician

As a Civil Designer - Engineering Assistant with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll play a key role in collaborating with multi-disciplined project teams to create detailed plans that support our clients' projects. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your experience across a wide variety of markets, including industrial, water resources, oil & gas, real estate, power, mining, private, and public sectors.

Responsibilities:

Develop site layout plans in accordance with local ordinance requirements
• Create alignments, profiles, and site grading designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Prepare earthwork volume calculations
• Develop post construction stormwater management, stormwater conveyance, and erosion and sedimentation control designs and prepare the supporting calculations and reports
• Prepare drawing sets (from conceptual planning to final design and construction)
• Design sanitary sewers and prepare Sewage Facility Planning Modules
• Conduct utility coordination and design onsite utility connections
• Prepare earth disturbance, municipal, and other permitting/approval applications

• 5+ years of Engineering Design experience
• Associate's or technical degree in CAD, Construction, or Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
• Strong knowledge and experience using AutoCAD is required. Proficiency with Civil 3D is strongly preferred
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, and other computer modeling software is a plus
• Ability to evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges
