Elevator Superintendent

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking an experienced Elevator Superintendent to lead operations at our new facility in David City, Nebraska. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment and is looking to grow with a company that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

As Elevator Superintendent, you will have full responsibility for daily facility operations, grain quality and condition, safety performance, inventory accuracy, and team leadership. You will work closely with internal partners to ensure efficient, compliant, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all elevator and grain drying operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, product quality, safety, and equipment maintenance.

• Partner with the Marketing Group to efficiently schedule receiving and shipping of commodities.

• Coordinate with other facility management teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment across locations.

• Maintain accurate inbound grain grading processes, oversee scale maintenance and inspection schedules, and coordinate inventory teams.

• Ensure complete and accurate records for all inbound and outbound shipments and proactively address quality issues.

• Verify that all product samples meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee daily maintenance of locomotive and material-handling equipment.

• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees by providing clear direction, coaching, and hands-on support.

• Prepare and submit reports including safety, maintenance, activity, profit/loss, and annual budget reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving and warehousing, preferably in grain or agricultural operations.

• Proven supervisory and leadership skills with experience training, motivating, and developing employees.

• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in operating grain facility equipment, including DTN systems, scales, grain testing and grading equipment, and grain cleaning/drying systems.

• Comfortable using office equipment and systems, including computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and phones.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, peers, and leadership.

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work well with diverse individuals and groups.
