Connected Logistics is seeking a Systems Administrator - Senior for our clients Disposition Integration Web Program Office(DIW). Disposition Services manages the disposal of excess property from military services, prioritizing reutilization within the Department of Defense (DoD), then offering it to other federal agencies, or donating it to state/local/tribal law enforcement agencies and other qualified organizations. Disaster relief is also supported through humanitarian assistance, with property also available through foreign military sales programs and auctions/online bidding.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior, Systems Administrator - DIW ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. Analyzes and resolves end-user software program and connectivity issues. Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. Provides end-user training. Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. Directs the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to including system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. Performs vulnerability management.

Provide all activities related to the web administration of computerized databases.

Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.

Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment, and other required environments.

Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises users on access to various databases.

• Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., COGNOS)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design.
• Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
• Research, analyze, and determine Database Management System (DBMS).
• Contractor works with the Government, and the government makes all determinations they make recommendations software/patch/upgrade availability, applicability.
• Research and recommend software/hardware requirements to the government for approval,
• Provide project management services and support for DBMS and OBA related projects and efforts, preparing requested documentation such as lists, word documents, spreadsheets, POAMs, Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS), tracking status and progress and reporting both formal and inf01mal progress to government personnel and management.
• Customize installations for application sustainment.
• Develop an implementation plan and schedule.
• Obtain Government POC approval for the installation schedule.
• Coordinate schedule through configuration management, with the PMO who will go through the DLA Enterprise CM process
• Install/Configure DBMS software/upgrades/patches, Where applicable
• Provide database CERT/CTO/IA directives/mandates/regulations management, where applicable
• Research, analyze, determine applicability, impacts of DBMS CERTS, CTOs, IA directives/mandates/regulations.
• Develops implementation plan and schedule.
• Obtain customer approval for installation schedule from the PMO
• Coordinate schedule through configuration management and obtain approval.
• Install and implement CERTS, CTOs, other IA directives, mandates, and regulations including but not limited to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security
• Readiness Reviews (SRRs);
• Prepare Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) as required and implement mitigation measures/strategies as required.
• Provide database backups and recoveries, where applicable
• Determine, set up, and coordinate backup schedule for DBMS and other related files;
• Provide database Continuity of Operations (COOP), where applicable
• Participation in all phases of COOP planning as needed.
• Participation in COOP exercises and related activities as required.
• Preparation of documentation for COOP exercise and related activities.
• Assist stakeholders in resolving issues/concerns/problems as they relate to database access and availability:
• Assist in database modeling as requested, offering design options/solutions.
• Administer application databases; DISA, J64 TFS, and Azure GovCloud, and any future Amazon Cloud service.
• Assist HP and DIW system administrators as required.
• Provide data management:
• Run queries and develop reports from databases.
• Perform data cleansing of production database data.
• Develop database-related processes/procedures that enforce/complement other data integrity processes and procedures implemented by DIW.
• Assist DIW customers as requested with data management concerns/issues /problems.
• Provide support to DIW in the assessment and implementation of the concepts and technologies regarding data mining, data warehousing, data standardization, data management, and data administration.
• Develop policies, processes, and procedures for effective data management and administration.
• Assist with SQL Server Reporting Services database configuration and setup when needed. Including, but not limited to, troubleshooting SSRS issues.
• Ensures the stable operation of computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology-related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience. (Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, with at least ten (10) years of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.

* Must possess IT-II Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission.

Total Rewards Statement
