Summary of Job:

The Nurse Recruiter is critical in fostering a skilled, compassionate team that supports St. Mary's commitment to exceptional patient care and service. This role oversees the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring that every hire meets our standards for quality, expertise, and cultural fit. By efficiently managing the recruitment process, the Nurse Recruiter will help maintain St. Mary's reputation for staffing excellence while adhering to cost-effectiveness and compliance.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Evaluation and Processes:
    • Responsible for the daily recruitment effort of exempt and non-exempt, clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as other staff recruitment.
    • Proactively monitors and enhances recruiting and onboarding efficiency by implementing process improvements for a smooth and effective hiring experience.
    • Maintains job templates, reviews and screens applications within 24 hours and forwards qualified candidates to hiring manager.
      • Serves as liaison with agencies for employment, advertisement, reference checks, criminal history checks, etc.
    • Updates and maintains recruiting activities in iCIMS daily and keeps HRD updated on the status of all candidates.
    • Promotes diversity and inclusion for all positions.
  • Community Outreach and Engagement:
    • Develops and administers workforce and recruitment programs based on the needs of the organization.
    • Represents St. Mary's at community events including career fairs, school events and other community opportunities.
    • Responsible for travel and lodging arrangements for candidates' on-site interviews.
    • Develops relationships and serves as a liaison with professional healthcare education programs; meets with students rotating through clinical and non-clinical experiences at St. Mary's.
    • Collaborates with department directors, HR staff and corporate communications to develop recruitment media.
  • Compliance:
    • Responsible for adhering to and updating all steps in iCIMS for employee requisitions and applications.
    • Report delays in hiring managers responses to eligible candidates.
    • Performs all steps on assigned requisitions from application to hire.
    • Ensures full compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Administration and Reporting:
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records on daily recruitment activities, position openings (projected and annual) and trends in the market.
    • Provides HRD with monthly reports including but not limited to, Time to Fill, Agency Conversion Rates and Current Openings.
    • Administers the Clinical Practice Partnership Program externship program (promotes scholarships, interviews, references and payment of funds.)
    • Completes the New Hire Trending report monthly.
    • Responsible for running reports from iCIMS to measure and communicate any recruitment issues/successes to HRD.
    • Attend corporate online training to stay current with recruitment ideas and software updates.
    • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
    • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed.
    • Maintains accurate and timely reporting process to support hiring initiatives aligned with St. Mary's standards.
  • Professional Development:
    • Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth by attending training and certifications to stay updated on recruitment trends and HR best practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Nursing or related field required.
  • Required two years of Human Resource experience.
  • Prefer knowledge of healthcare positions, emphasis on nursing staff.
  • Must have knowledge of marketing, compensation and employment law.
  • Prioritization, problem solving, organizational skills, critical thinking skills, strong communication and professional telephone skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. ICIMS applicant tracking experience preferred.
  • Human Resource certification (SHMR-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, etc.) preferred.
  • Must have current Oklahoma vehicle Driver's license.
