Middlesex School seeks a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2026-27 academic year with the opportunity for annual renewal. For more information on Middlesex, please visit our careers page. We seek strong candidates to teach a range of courses from our Spanish core series and to contribute to upper-level elective and AP offerings. Native speaking ability is preferred. Candidates must be familiar with the uses of technology in the teaching of Spanish. While seasoned candidates with advanced degrees are desired, we also know that great teachers come to us from a variety of backgrounds. As a residential school, Middlesex considers the work of faculty more broadly. When we are at our best, we are engaging with our students both in and out of the classroom. Applicants should be deeply committed to embracing and supporting the diversity of our student body. Faculty members at Middlesex can expect to be responsible for weekly evening and occasional weekend supervisory duties. They will also be responsible for contributing to the life of the school through athletics (one season) and extracurricular activities. Middlesex supports faculty in this work through clear expectations, thoughtful scheduling, and a collaborative culture that values mentorship and professional growth. Competitive salary and benefits, including a strong professional development program, will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Because Middlesex School is a residential boarding school, this role may be housed on campus or be eligible for a $20,000 engagement stipend for those not housed on campus. Middlesex School is committed to bringing together a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. We encourage candidates who represent the broad, diverse community to which we aspire. Middlesex School is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to an inclusive school experience for all. | |
