Position Summary The Specialist, K-12 and Community Audiences develops, implements, and evaluates dynamic formal and informal learning initiatives that engage K-12 schools and multigenerational community audiences with the Hammer Museum's collections, exhibitions, and resources. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Academic Programs, this position manages programs and tours for K-12 students and teachers, including two intensive school partnership programs; and programming, partnerships, and gallery resources for multigenerational community audiences. This position also works to strategically identify and build K-12 and community audiences, and collaborates with the communications department on outreach to those audiences. The specialist will also contribute to wider Academic Programs department initiatives, including training and mentoring student educators and supporting high impact university and adult programs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 or more years of experience working with K-12 and community audiences, excellent gallery teaching and art-making facilitation skills, and demonstrated ability in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing educational programs. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range.
