Overview

Microsoft'sCloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. We are looking for a Regional SecurityOperations Managerto perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. As a Regional Security Operations Manager in CO+I Physical Security, you will be part of a global team dedicated to delivering the most trustworthy security program to protect the personnel, infrastructure, data, and confidential information foundational to the Microsoft Cloud. You will be accountable for physical security operations at datacenters and other related facilities within the applicable region and will manage in-region Datacenter Security Operations Managers whoare responsible forsecurity operations in their respective metros. You will lead teams in collaborating with stakeholders to meet collective security requirements andprovidesecurity capabilities,anticipatespecific insecurity and security disruption (e.g., life safety, business operations, reputation) and lead discussions on developing strategies for mitigating risks and responding to residual risks. You will communicate risk analysis findings and root cause analysis reports to internal and external stakeholders and leaders. Responsibilities

Security Program Management

  • Oversee and ensure the quality and high-performance delivery of one of the largest contract/vendor security guarding programs in the industry. Continuously assess and scorecard the vendors' performance and staffing levels, manage budget and forecasting, recommend changes to reducecostsandoptimize, ensure workplace health and safety programs are in place and running well, etc.

  • Develop, manage, andmaintainphysical security Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), and continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program.

  • Provide situational awareness and analysis of the region's security environment.

Security Leadership

  • Attract,developandretaintalent; deliver results through teamwork and effectively manage a team, where membersarelocatedindatacenter throughout multiple countries within the region.

  • Provides guidance to teams to design, implement, andmonitorsecurity controls to treat risks to infrastructure, business, people, and assets and thenmonitorthe effectiveness of measures taken tomodifyrisks.

  • On-call24x7x365 and travel periodically as planned or unplanned within or outside of assigned region.

  • Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and businessimpactingincidents/events and appropriately triage and assess, ensuring that leadership is made initially and continuously aware whenappropriate, and that theappropriate personnelare managing the incident response effectively.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in security program or program management or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Abilityto meet Microsoft,customerand/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Risks, or related field AND 12+ years experience in security program or program management OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
  • Experience with or exposure to regulatory and industry compliance frameworks and audits (e.g. ISO27001, SOC, PCI)
  • Industry security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or other relevant security certification


Security M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
