US Chemical Storage designs and manufacturers safe, compliant prefabricated chemical storage buildings customizable for applications in many industries. We provide best in class quality solutions for hazmat and chemical storage needs. US Chemical Storage is seeking a Welder. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting chemical storage building. The Welder has the primary responsibility of all welding parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable and have good communication and organizational skills. A welder is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. Work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting chemical storage buildings.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  • To accurately read blue prints, drawings and take accurate measurements to ensure quality and accurate welds.
  • Use hand tools required to perform the job but not limited to; MIG welders, plasma cutters, all types of grinders, hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing square and edging tools.
  • Must be able to perform regular preventive maintenance on welding machines such as torch maintenance, changing out weld leads, wire liners, wire feed rollers, weld wire and other consumables.
  • Complete inspections and conduct repairs if needed.
  • Work on top of ladders and roofs of building structure.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required



  • Have a great attitude and willing to grow with the company
  • Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all times
  • 2 years minimum experience welding Hot Roll Mild Steel, Galvanized and Structural steel is preferred
  • Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of measurements using a tape measure.


Working Conditions



  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs to waist and overhead with proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 10 hours per day.
  • Wear all required PPE including: steel toed shoes and safety glasses.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Ability to work in high heat conditions.
