Clinical Educator Specialist
HIRING CLINICAL EDUCATOR SPECIALIST (CES) - PARAMEDIC Under general direction, oversees Clinical and Education Services activities for the local service area. Represents GMR to local committees, medical and training institutions, and other related agencies. Responsible for the creation, implementation, and tracking of education programs. Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) data collection and analysis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
* Support recruitment through participation in local EMS classes and career days.
* Develop and implement orientation and continuing education programs, including designing course objectives and lesson plans.
* Conduct orientation and certification classes (ACLS, PALS, CPR, EMT Skills); obtain instructor certification within 6 months of hire.
* Participate in equipment evaluation and selection.
* Collaborate with physician advisory groups and assist in clinical problem resolution.
* Oversee clinical requirements for contracts and agreements.
* Track and review clinical events, handling complaints/compliments, and conduct timely investigations of protocol or standard of care violations, reporting findings as needed.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives, including clinical call and chart reviews, and guide continuing education based on QI findings.
* Manage Field Training Officers (FTOs), including selection, monitoring, and program development.
* Serve as a clinical resource for staff, represent the department in local EMS education programs, and assist with medical policy creation/revision.
* Review patient care reports for accuracy and provide clinical support for documentation, billing, and appeals as needed.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and information systems security procedures.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the direct delivery of pre-hospital care.
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Field Training Officer Education
* High School diploma or equivalent skills
Credentials/Licenses:
* All Current Paramedic Certifications * BLS Instructor (preferred) * ACLS Instructor (preferred) * PALS Instructor (preferred) Why Choose GMR?
