Job Description

Job Objective: The Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Analyst serves as a strategic link between commercial teams and operational functions, ensuring alignment of business objectives with supply chain capabilities. This role drives data-driven decision-making to enhance planning accuracy, optimize inventory performance, and improve customer service levels. By leveraging advanced analytics and reporting, the SIOP Analyst supports initiatives that strengthen forecast reliability, reduce excess inventory, and maintain data integrity across planning tools and ERP systems. Working closely with the Demand Planning Manager and Inventory Planning Manager, this position plays a critical role in advancing the company's integrated business planning process and delivering actionable insights that support growth and operational excellence.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and analyze demand forecasting, maintain buy plans, inventory management improvement, analyze statistical data & generate actionable insights, reporting development, continuous improvement to SIOP process, and maintain data accuracy across multiple systems.

  • Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy, identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Enter forecast adjustments and ensure data integrity across forecasting tools and ERP systems.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain reporting dashboards to track demand planning KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Manage and improve the internal Supply Chain Buy Plan, ensuring adherence and alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain forecast adjustments, submitted model stocks, safety stock reviews, and ERP data maintenance processes.
  • Implement continuous improvements to demand forecasting, inventory planning, and SIOP processes.
  • Lead analytical support for inventory management initiatives, including excess and reserved inventory reduction.
  • Build analytical reporting, process automation, and conduct root cause analysis to drive inventory optimization.
  • Track inventory performance metrics and troubleshoot underperforming areas, developing corrective action plans.
  • Prepare and present SIOP performance updates for executive leadership, leading calls and discussions as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance KPI tracking and reporting for SIOP functions.
  • Model, interpret, and report key end-to-end analytics and metrics to drive alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks and opportunities, escalating issues proactively.
  • Provide analytical support for ad-hoc projects related to supply chain optimization and business planning.
  • Perform other related tasks and projects as assigned by the manager




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Supply Chain, Economics (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in SIOP Analytics or a similar role.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, PowerPivot, VBA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with PowerBI Dashboards and interactions
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing data visualization techniques and collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally to obtain consensus amongst teams as well as leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments across the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical capability is required.
  • Ability to make decisions using business judgment and intuition.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced in PowerBI and data visualization techniques
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a distribution company
  • Experience with inventory management software (Netstock: Sage Inventory Advisor)
  • Experience with SAP ECC 6 EHP7 & Sage 100 DM2
  • Exposure and involvement to a Sales, Inventory, & Operational Planning process
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems and standardizing all the data into one dataset for reporting
