Overview

Are you someone who loves diving into technical details, solving problems, and helping bring highquality fabricated products to life? We're looking for an Estimator to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive quotes that support our customers and drive our business forward.
In this role, you'll be the expert who analyzes drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop precise cost estimates for fabricated tubing and metal products. You'll collaborate every day with talented colleagues across sales, engineering, purchasing, tooling, and operations to ensure our quotes are both competitive and achievable.
We are seeking the best qualified candidate to work out of one of the following locations: Neillsville, WI; Defiance, OH; Milwaukee, WI; Mayville, WI

Responsibilities

    Conducts analysis of technical documentation to identify and quantify resource requirements to ensure estimate accuracy.
  1. Collaborates cross-functionally with teams such as sales, engineering, purchasing, tooling and operations to gather insights, resolve issues, and ensure accurate and realistic cost estimates.
  2. Engages with outside vendors to establish costs for items not supported internally.
  3. Collaborates with sales application engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) cost and quality improvement proposals.
  4. Maintains updated knowledge of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and constraints.
  5. Enters quote requirements into the company's quoting tool and uses discretion to change outputs as necessary.


Qualifications

Job Skill Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to read design prints and utilize Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computer Aided Modeling (CAM) software.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Technical Drawing, Manufacturing Technology, Business, Sales, or similar preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Three years of experience in estimating within a metal fabrication or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of tooling, jigs, and fixtures preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Estimating or manufacturing-related experience with tubing products (exhaust, fluid lines, fluid level indicators, HVAC, etc.).
