DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The employee will serve as the Clerical Assistant to the Bureau of Policy, Analysis and Planning and will be responsible for routine and moderately complex and technical clerical duties. Duties include typing correspondence, filing, answering telephones, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and is the timekeeping backup for the Bureau.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements (NSRs):
- This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
- This position requires the ability to take and transcribe dictation.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
