Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Engineering/Cloud Computing, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional teaching experience in a related field.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent).
Position Responsibilities
  • Facilitate learning activities that enable students to understand and apply cloud computing and cybersecurity principles, architectures, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment.
  • Monitor, assess, and advise students on academic, technical, and professional progress.
  • Apply current academic standards and industry best practices in all assigned courses.
  • Develop, update, and enhance lesson plans, labs, projects, and assessments focused on secure cloud environments.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based and virtual lab environments.
  • Develop and deliver course content in at least four of the following areas:
    • Cloud Computing Fundamentals and Architecture
    • AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
    • Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM)
    • Cloud Security Architecture and Controls
    • Network Security in Cloud Environments
    • Containers and Cloud-Native Security (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Infrastructure as Code and Secure Automation (Terraform, CloudFormation)
    • DevSecOps and CI/CD Security
    • Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Threat Detection
    • Incident Response and Cloud Forensics
  • Guide students in developing secure cloud projects and professional portfolios.
  • Assist with student recruitment, advising, retention, and job placement initiatives.
  • Recommend cloud platforms, security tools, and lab resources.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to design, review, and continuously improve cloud and cybersecurity curriculum.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching related to certifications, career pathways, and ethical practices.
  • Participate in professional development and cybersecurity or cloud industry organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
