In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in leading budget and headcount management for critical client groups, providing essential support to their leadership. Your work will involve crucial fiscal year planning, meticulous budget and headcount oversight, and regular, insightful reporting. You will also play a key part in maintaining robust project management processes, ensuring goals, deadlines, metrics, and budgets are consistently met. This position offers a unique chance to influence resource allocation and financial health, contributing significantly to the success and strategic direction of groundbreaking initiatives.

**What You'll Do:**

* Collaborate closely with team leadership to strategically understand and prioritize both headcount and budget requirements.

* Expertly manage and track team expenditures for key engineering client groups, encompassing quarterly forecast cycles, monthly financial close reporting, and accurate accruals.

* Partner with engagement managers to ensure purchase orders are initiated promptly and align seamlessly with budget forecasts.

* Approve project budgets and expenditures, diligently monitoring transaction controls and costs against established budgets.

* Proactively identify potential budget overruns and develop effective, data-driven solutions.

* Work alongside General Managers and organizational resource teams to prioritize incremental and backfill headcount requests, ensuring optimal team composition.

**What You'll Bring:**

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a relevant field.

* 10+ years of comprehensive experience in business operations, with a strong emphasis on financial management.

* Demonstrated hands-on, end-to-end budget management experience, including oversight of complex and large-scale budgets.

* Proven ability to manage both budget and headcount concurrently at a senior level.

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong executive presence, enabling effective presentation of insights to leadership and adept stakeholder management.

* Strong ability to synthesize complex financial data into compelling narratives, build executive-ready presentations, and communicate implications beyond spreadsheet outputs.

* High attention to detail, strong customer service orientation, and excellent interpersonal skills.

* Robust ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.

* Profound knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

* Strong aptitude for applying accounting and mathematical principles as required.

* Expertise in analyzing business trends and projecting future revenues and expenses.

* Proficiency with computer applications, including Word and Excel.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Previous experience managing budget or finance at a large technology company.

* Experience managing allocation rules.
