This position is located in Milan, Ohio.



Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

The Security and Training Specialist is a hybrid position responsible for industrial security as well as companywide trainings and initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Training - Designs, implements and evaluates programs to improve employee skills and organizational performance, assessing needs, creating materials, delivering training, and tracking effectiveness, requiring strong communication, organization and instructional design skills to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Security - Protects company/government assets by managing personnel security (clearances, access) physical security and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Conducts security related trainings, audits, risk assessments and supporting requirements for classified projects.

Duties and Responsibilites

    Identify training gaps through surveys, interviews and performance data
  1. Develop curriculum learning modules and materials
  2. Facilitate training via e-learning or workshops
  3. Measure training impact on performance
  4. Manage logistics scheduling and technology for learning programs
  5. Process security clearances, manage access, record keeping
  6. Manage security databases, processing forms (SF86) maintaining documentation (SOPs) and coordinating with external agencies.
  7. Manage badges for remote employees


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Able to adapt to change
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, required
  2. At least 5 years of directly related experience
  3. Ability to travel as necessary (10% or less)
