About The Team

The Specialized Investments Group ("SIG") is responsible for developing and commercializing innovations in AQR's tax-efficient strategies. The SIG's product portfolio consists of a large and growing number of investment strategies offered to High-Net-Worth clients and Family Offices.

Product specialists play a key role in AQR's portfolio management, product development, and enhancement and are involved in many stages of the investment process including new business presentations, new account onboarding, portfolio implementation, performance monitoring and analysis, and portfolio review meetings with clients. Product specialists interact closely with the rest of the firm including research, portfolio management, trading, business development, legal, compliance, risk and marketing. Through this collaboration, product specialists have in-depth knowledge of the strategies they cover and are expected to be in-house experts of their respective products. They are an integral part of initiatives to create, manage, and sell AQR products.

Your Role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented first year analyst to join SIG's product specialist team. This role will give end-to-end exposure to the portfolio management process and continued evolution of AQR's tax-efficient products and will include opportunities to work directly with clients and senior investment professionals across the firm. Responsibilities include:



  • Client communication:

    • Present in depth reviews and explanations of investment strategies to clients, in collaboration with our Business Development team
    • Prepare client-ready written responses to investment questions spanning a variety of topics: e.g., investment philosophy, investment process, performance (both before and after tax), performance drivers, portfolio characteristics, etc.
    • Help improve presentations and collateral for pitching new business




  • Investment monitoring and analysis:

    • Analyze portfolio performance using existing tools, and contribute to the development of new monitoring tools
    • Conduct custom portfolio analysis to address questions from clients or senior investment professionals
    • Present portfolio analysis results to product and portfolio teams




  • Process Improvement:

    • Develop scalable solutions to support client acquisition and client retention

      • Dissemination of relevant updates to the business development
      • Proactively sharing answers / data to commonly asked question
      • Helping develop analytical tools to support


    • Develop suite of review materials for existing investment products
    • Help develop and oversee a library of RFP ready responses and standard DDQs
    • Help develop processes to oversee pre- and after-tax performance across investment lineup




What You'll Bring



  • December 2025 or Spring 2026 graduate from a Bachelor's or Master's program in a business or quantitative discipline
  • Programming skills; Python highly preferred
  • Strong problem solving and quantitative skills
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to focus in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Results oriented
