Amsoil is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative II.



Basic Functions/job summary:


Inside Sales Representatives drive AMSOIL sales growth within Dealer Sales business channels (Retail/Commercial). This is accomplished while performing three basic functions:



  • Build strong relationships with Dealers coaching them on channel value proposition and benefits, service opportunities, resolve problems and identify product growth opportunities with accounts.
  • Work directly with accounts regarding orders, production needs, delivery, special product requests/needs.
  • Expand customer base by making initial contact with leads, introducing them to the AMSOIL program and benefits with the goal of transitioning them to a buying customer.



Examples of Work Performed / Essential Functions:



  • Support Dealers with servicing accounts and building sales

    • Interact with Dealers mentoring them on ways to effectively service accounts, communicate with accounts, share program benefits and value proposition of channel.
    • Work closely with Dealers on larger accounts that have unique inventory or service needs.
    • Proactively contact Dealers using call campaigns to coach them on business building ideas. (new product launches, discount eligibility, account purchase behavior, promotions, etc.)
    • Support Dealer in working with an account on use of dispensing equipment, Oil Analysis or other unique service requests.
    • Recap Dealer and account interactions in CRM for future reference of other AMSOIL team members.


  • Work closely with accounts to provide excellent service

    • Build relationship with accounts sharing relevant information about their account, order, program benefits, promotions, discounts etc.
    • Troubleshoot customer issues working with internal partners to resolve concerns.
    • Act as key contact for larger accounts to process purchase orders and track shipments ensuring customer expectations are met.
    • Identify product expansion opportunities and discuss with account/Dealer.
    • Proactively manage large account product orders ensuring package size and quantity is in appropriate DC at the right time.
    • Utilize AMSOIL resources to answer customers' program and technical questions.
    • Communicate relevant account interactions with Dealers to ensure alignment on account needs and service.
    • Document account and Dealer communication in CRM.


  • Reach out to leads and convert to new AMSOIL customer:

    • Reach out to all self-registered accounts to introduce AMSOIL, gain an understanding of their business, support in setting up accounts, provide product recommendations and process first order.
    • Follow up as needed with application, account credit or tax exemption.
    • Assign self-registered new accounts to certified AMSOIL Dealers to ensure a great hand-off for Dealer to service the customer.


  • Program Enhancements

    • Share ideas for promotional events for accounts, enhancements to program benefits, etc.
    • Share ideas on additional training needs for Dealers regarding sales skills, business building ideas, products and program value proposition.
    • Share ideas for topics for Dealer webinars


  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Use multiple systems to access customer account information including: CRM, JDE, Dealer Zone, SPS, etc.
    • Participate in account onsite visits as requested or needed





Minimum Qualifications:


Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in various service and sales roles or combined years of experience and business-related education.
