Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Sales Consultant to join our fire business unit.
This role will cover Rockland, Orange, Ulster & Sullivan Counties.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of customers for low voltage systems, including fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, and life safety systems within Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset and North Ocean Counties in NJ.
  • Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to develop accurate proposals and solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and contracts.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and scope of work within company guidelines.
  • Track sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Coordinate project handoffs to operations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and code requirements.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in low voltage, fire alarm, security, or systems integration sales
  • Working knowledge of low voltage systems such as fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and structured cabling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and estimating tools
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience selling to commercial construction, property management, healthcare, education, or government markets
  • Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and local AHJ requirements
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Lenel, Bosch, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
  • NICET certification or industry sales training


Salary Range: $80K to $90K plus commission
