As the Assistant Ticket Operations Manager, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that supports students from diverse backgrounds as they pursue careers in data science.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the Assistant Directors of Ticket Operations with the management and supervision of all box office functions.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the ticket office, including processing ticket orders for various events.
  • Provide excellent customer service by dealing with customers in-person, monitoring ticket office phone lines and voicemails, and maintaining email correspondence.
  • Write and send communications both on an individual and mass level.
  • Assist with the management of game day activities at home and on the road.
  • Manage ticket operations and game day logistics for assigned sports.
  • Assist with inventory for gameday functions.
  • Ensure adherence to all Duke and NCAA rules regarding ticket sales and distribution.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations.

  • Qualifications:

    • BA/BS with a minimum of 1-year experience at the collegiate or professional level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.
    • Demonstrated sound personal interface, organizational, and coordinating skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and vendors with a positive attitude.
    • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
    • Flexibility with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work requires analytical, communication and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $22.39. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
