You Are:

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer with strong expertise in Machine Learning and Data Analysis to design, build, and deploy scalable data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into robust ML and analytics solutions, primarily leveraging the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

The opportunity:

* Hybrid: In office/remote

* Design, develop, and deploy Python-based machine learning solutions for large-scale data analysis and business use cases.

* Build and maintain ETL and data pipelines to process both structured and unstructured datasets efficiently.

* Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), feature engineering, model validation, and performance tuning.

* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

* Optimize ML models and data pipelines for scalability, performance, reliability, and accuracy.

* Implement and support model deployment and monitoring using cloud-based MLOps practices.

* Ensure data quality, governance, and best practices in data modeling and pipeline design.

* Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices and standards.

* Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve ML and data platforms.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

* Core Technical Skills

* Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive hands-on experience using:

* Pandas, NumPy

* Scikit-learn

* FastAPI and/or Flask for ML services and APIs

* Solid understanding of machine learning workflows, including:

* Data preprocessing and feature engineering

* Model training, evaluation, and validation

* Model deployment and lifecycle management

* Microsoft / Cloud Stack (Preferred)

* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services such as:

* Azure Machine Learning

* Azure Data Factory (ADF)

* Azure Synapse Analytics

* Related Microsoft AI/ML and data services

* Experience implementing cloud-based MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring).

* Data & Analytics

* Strong SQL skills with experience in complex queries and performance optimization.

* Good understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and analytical data structures.

* Nice to Have

* Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies:

* Docker

* Kubernetes

* Exposure to large-scale or distributed data processing environments.

* Soft Skills

* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

* Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide junior team members



Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range : $94,000-$141,000



Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
