Position Title: Accounting Manager
Wage: Based on Experience We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our manufacturing client in La Crosse, WI to lead and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department. This role is responsible for managing accounting processes, monitoring, and analyzing financial data, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles, policies, and regulations. The Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role in driving process improvements, supporting business decisions, and developing a high-performing accounting team of 3-4 direct reports. Accounting Manager Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team to ensure efficient and effective department operations - Maintain integrity and accuracy of general ledger balances - Manage daily cash activity, including bank reconciliations and prepare cash forecasts. - Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities - Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements - Oversee manufacturing and real estate property tax filings - Assist with internal and external audits and serve as backup for other accounting functions as needed - Maintain strong communication and collaboration across all departments and shifts, as well as with external partners Requirements for Accounting Manager: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment - 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software required - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment IND345 | |
