About the role:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

About the team:

The AffinityEdge mainframe team works with loans functionality to fix defects, add enhancements, and maintains code for regulatory compliance. The developer will work with a product owner to plan stories for the agile iterations and provide estimated timeframes for each.

What you will be doing:

  • Unisys COBOL mainframe programming to enhance the system, correct defects, or maintain/enhance regulatory changes.

  • Using your deposit knowledge to analyze the code to determine where the change should be.

  • Complete quality unit testing - recording before/after and providing documentation.

  • Effectively communicate with the team's product owner, QA resources, and other developers. Supporting customer care as well as implementations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transactional workflows into enterprise applications.

What you will need:

  • Unisys COBOL programming experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter (has initiative), takes ownership of work

  • Experience with real-time transaction processing (not just batch-based).

  • Ability to design and manage low-latency, high-availability systems.

  • Expertise in secure, immediate transaction handling for financial applications.

  • Strong knowledge of concurrency control and rollback mechanisms.

  • Familiarity with authorization and compliance requirements in mission-critical environments

Added bonus if you have:

  • Deposit related experience

  • AffinityEdge/MISER experience

  • Programmers Workbench experience

  • SQL/DMSII(Enterprise Database Server) experience

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $101,480.00 - $170,470.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
