LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES, MOCCASIN BEND MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE, HAMILTON COUNTY Qualifications Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a masters degree in nursing, nursing administration, healthcare or hospital administration, public health, or other related health care field and experience equivalent to four years of registered nursing work, including at least one year of nursing supervisory experience. OR Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in nursing and experience equivalent to five years of registered nursing work, including at least one year of nursing supervisory experience. OR Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associates degree in nursing and experience equivalent to seven years of registered nursing work, including at least one year of nursing supervisory experience. Necessary Special Qualifications: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Overview The Psy Hosp Asst Nurse Executive assists in managing nursing services at a state psychiatric hospital, overseeing staff performance, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Develops policies, evaluates service quality, and ensures efficient nursing operations to support hospital-wide goals. Responsibilities 1. Ensures adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards. 2. Directs hiring, training, and performance evaluations for nursing personnel. 3. Monitors treatment effectiveness and ensures high-quality nursing services. 4. Establishes nursing guidelines and operational procedures. 5. Identifies service gaps and recommends improvements. 6. Engages with leadership, staff, and external agencies to align nursing services with hospital needs. 7. Optimizes staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation. 8.
