Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Federal Patrol in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team, putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to conditions throughout the location, adapting to changing environments and situations as required by the post.
  • Maintain a visible presence as an armed security professional to help to deter disruptive or criminal activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
