What You'll Do

As a Cx Agent I, you will support commissioning across all phases-from design reviews and submittal evaluations to functional performance testing-helping ensure systems are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and meet owner requirements. You will collaborate with clients, designers, contractors, and equipment vendors to deliver highperforming buildings and a great project experience.



  • Review equipment submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design intent, owner requirements, and functional testing needs.
  • Perform site visits; execute inspections using prefunctional checklists, functional performance tests, and training matrices.
  • Prepare timely progress reports outlining status, issues, and action items for the project team.
  • Verify preventative maintenance materials and record documents for commissioned systems.
  • Participate in client and Cx team meetings to review project status and plan upcoming activities.
  • Maintain equipment logs and master deficiency lists; follow through to closure with clear ownership.
  • Perform design reviews and draft commissioning specifications with oversight from senior staff.
  • Develop and update Cx plans using cloudbased commissioning software; maintain version control.
  • Conduct retrocommissioning and diagnostic work, as needed, to optimize system performance.
  • Support additional duties as assigned to achieve project goals and client expectations.



Who We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:



  • Three years of experience with M&P systems, automation, and controls OR
  • Three years of experience with Electrical systems and low voltage systems OR
  • CxT experience and certification with two year experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with one years of applicable experience or equivalent experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with building automation systems, controls integration, and trend analysis.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical systems and related design documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort using cloudbased Cx platforms and mobile field tools.
  • Clear, concise technical writing and documentation; strong organization and followthrough.
  • Ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors and represent SSR professionally on job sites.
