Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Contribute to Engineering product lifecycle activities from concept, design through sustainment
  • Support efforts for creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Engineering Releases (ERs) and other technical documentation
  • Work with Mechanical Engineering Manager to administer best practices and control databases and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill)
  • Ensure configuration records are accurate and up to date for customer delivery and regulatory compliance
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings as needed



Required Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 1-3 years related work experience
  • Knowledge and ability with 3D CAD Software for modelling parts and assemblies as well as assisting in creating production/manufacturing ready drawings
  • Comprehension of configuration control for Engineering changes, requests for document updates and processing
  • Assist in Maintaining Bill of Materials (BOMs), setting up ECNs/ ERs, and other technical documentation
  • Familiarity of ERP systems and ability to learn new processes within such systems
  • Capability with PLM/PDM systems such as Windchill, SolidWorks PDM Pro and/or similar tools
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Essential to be flexible and have ability to interact with all levels in the organization
  • Necessity to work within tight deadlines
  • No obstructions to obtain US Government Security Clearance



Desired Skills:



  • Exposure with MIL-STD (SHOCK and VIBRATION), AWS Welding specifications, ASTM, ASME, ISO, MIL, FED and other standards
  • Awareness process of incoming inspection and evaluating components in Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Insight to manufacturing processes (stamping, bending, machining, pressing, forming, welding, brazing, soldering, plating, painting and more) to support procurement and guidance to suppliers/vendors



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds
  • Visual acuity to read detailed technical drawings and computer screens
  • Ability to move around in a manufacturing or lab environment



Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD (Annually)

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or training, business and market conditions.
