As a Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol in Knoxville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support smooth operations by observing activity, communicating clearly with team members and site contacts, and providing outstanding customer service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including warehouse floors, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access for employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery documentation, and directing traffic to designated check-in points.
- Monitor shipping and receiving areas for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or unauthorized access, and report conditions that may help to deter theft, damage, and/or disruptions.
- Perform vehicle and pedestrian screening as required by site policy, including observing for prohibited items and reporting concerns through established procedures.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, radio communications, and access control systems, and document observations per site policy.
- Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, inspections, and dispatch activity, using clear written communication and timely escalation.
- Assist with crowd and traffic flow during peak inbound and outbound periods, including staging areas for tractors, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Support emergency and evacuation procedures, including guiding personnel to assembly areas and maintaining accountability information when directed by site leadership.
- Maintain a professional presence and provide assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors with directions, policy questions, and general site inquiries.
- Participate in routine inspections of key areas such as gates, fencing, dock doors, and emergency equipment, and submit maintenance and work order notifications as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements: - Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
