As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Lake Charles, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and post orders.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity through a high-visibility armed presence, professional communication, and consistent enforcement of site rules.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, cash handling areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries using approved screening and verification steps.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions per site procedures.
- Complete accurate incident reports, shift activity logs, and other documentation, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including patrol checks, access control tasks, and verification of security-related conditions as directed by post orders.
- Provide escort services for employees and/or visitors when requested and authorized, including to parking areas and other designated locations.
- Support protection of property and assets by observing for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards, and reporting findings through the chain of command.
- Participate in required training, including firearms qualification, use of force guidelines, and post-specific instructions, and maintain required licensing and certifications.
Minimum Requirements: - Possess an Armed Guard Card/license.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
