Join Allied Universal at a residential location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, helping to maintain a welcoming environment through high-visibility patrols, bike patrol for extended periods, and clear, professional communication with residents and staff. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or property staff by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points and access systems, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor and vendor sign-in and/or direction to approved destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Observe and report conditions that may impact normal operations, including unsecured doors, lighting issues, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate findings to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner per site procedures.
  • Support security-related emergency response activities when appropriate, such as assisting with evacuations and/or area notifications under direction of site leadership.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance while providing information and assistance to residents and guests, helping to promote an orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
