As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control for staff and visitors. You will complete routine rounds, communicate clearly, and provide customer-focused assistance while documenting observations. You will be part of a team that acts with integrity, stays agile and reliable, and brings innovative solutions to daily operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobbies, ATM areas, offices, and perimeter areas, as permitted by post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, access control points, and surveillance systems when assigned, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and vendors using sign-in requirements, identification checks, and visitor badging per site policy.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation with clear, detailed information.
  • Provide directions and assistance to customers and staff, helping to reduce disruptions and/or unauthorized access in customer-facing areas.
  • Support opening and closing procedures when assigned, including verifying doors are secured, checking restricted areas, and reporting maintenance issues that could impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
