As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol sales floors, entrances, and parking areas, maintaining a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet customers, assist store teams with service-minded communication, observe and report concerns, and respond to calls for assistance. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, and exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter theft and other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence, observing customer and employee activity, and reporting suspicious behavior according to post orders.
• Monitor entrances, sales floor areas, and receiving or delivery zones to help identify unauthorized access and/or policy violations, and take appropriate action consistent with site guidelines.
• Complete reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, including documenting loss prevention-related events and submitting required logs to Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Support store operations during openings and closings by checking doors, gates, and key areas for irregularities and reporting maintenance and security-related concerns.
• Provide directions and assistance to customers and employees, helping to de-escalate disputes and/or disturbances using customer service and verbal intervention techniques.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
