Job Description




As a Security Officer in Wauwatosa, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive manufacturing location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, assist with directions and access questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, offices, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and access control systems, and report unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and facility disruptions, and coordinate with on-site contacts and local responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, including observations, actions taken, and notifications made.
  • Assist with traffic flow and parking guidance during shift changes, special events, and high-volume delivery periods when assigned.
  • Support shipping and receiving areas by observing trailer drop lots, dock activity, and delivery staging areas, and reporting irregularities per site guidelines.
  • Perform key control, badge issuance support, and other access-related tasks as assigned, following site documentation requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders, escalating concerns through the chain of command and following post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
