The Office of the Dean is responsible for leading SOM's overall strategic vision; developing and implementing initiatives that enhance teaching, research, and clinical care across its departments, the Division of Medical Education and Division of Graduate Education; and establishing collaborative partnerships across campus and the community to advance its mission. The position is responsible for conducting day-to-day website edits for the School of Medicine's website (medschool.ucsd.edu) to ensure timely updates and accurate content; writing and expanding website content in collaboration with the communications team and School of Medicine stakeholders; and building new pages for key areas such as research and graduate education. The incumbent ensures all website content adheres to accessibility requirements. May assist the school departments in website design and updates as needed. In addition, the position contributes to the design of marketing materials, including infographics, flyers, branded promotional products, and signage. Technical proficiency in website content management systems and design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Performs other duties as assigned. Activities and assignments are designed to expose incumbents to fundamental communications and marketing concepts and principles. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $60,300 - $103,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.88 - $49.76 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
