Position Summary: The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) performs local facility IT functions on information systems within classified environments or enclaves and identifies where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. The ISSO establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of classified systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction/release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic system audits. The ISSO assists in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), makes recommendations on process tailoring, participates in and documents process activities. Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Supports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports. And the ISSO documents the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M. Relocation
Relocation is authorized for this position. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
