Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Bank Patrol in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, provide customer-focused assistance, and document observations with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting access concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, alarms, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete routine inspections and patrol checks, note irregular conditions, and report maintenance or security-related concerns through the chain of command.
  • Use security-related equipment and systems as assigned, such as radios, key control, and/or incident reporting tools, in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, including accurate time and location details.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested by site leadership and in accordance with post orders.
  • Support emergency response activities such as evacuations, lockdowns, and/or shelter-in-place procedures when directed, while assisting with orderly movement of occupants.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies, post orders, and customer requirements while maintaining a professional presence and respectful communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
