As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to identify and report unusual activity. You will support access control, respond to incidents, and document observations with clear, professional communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and contractors at a government-related housing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, fire alarms, and suspicious activity, and notify site leadership and/or public services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
  • Monitor doors, gates, and other access points for unauthorized entry, propped doors, and policy violations, and take appropriate action based on post orders.
  • Observe and report maintenance or environmental issues such as lighting outages, damaged locks, broken fencing, and trip hazards, and route concerns to the appropriate point of contact.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in a timely manner using written and/or electronic systems.
  • Support emergency response activities by assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place procedures, and accountability steps as directed by site-specific policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site personnel, residents, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence and providing directions and general assistance.
  • Operate security-related equipment as assigned, which may include radios, access control systems, cameras, and key control, in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
