What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at assigned entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic through gates and checkpoints, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report access issues per site procedures.
  • Conduct package, badge, and/or vehicle inspections as required by site policy, documenting findings and escalating concerns to supervision.
  • Operate access control systems, CCTV, radios, and telephones; maintain situational awareness and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, contractor check-in and/or check-out, deliveries, and unusual events in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and coordinating with site personnel as directed.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and accountability processes when directed by site leadership and/or post orders.
  • Complete written reports for incidents, alarms, and policy violations, providing clear details and timely follow-up.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors while maintaining a professional presence and adhering to post orders and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
