As a Security Officer - Gate Access Patrol in HOPE, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support employees, drivers, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state, backed by a team that acts with integrity and puts people first. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and operational disruptions as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor purpose, and directing vendors, drivers, and contractors according to site procedures.
- Monitor access gates, docks, and delivery traffic flow, helping to maintain orderly vehicle movement and reduce congestion during peak shipping and receiving periods.
- Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, including shift activity reports, incident reports, and maintenance and/or hazard observations, and route information to the appropriate contact.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, radios, and access control systems, reporting abnormalities per site procedures.
- Provide professional assistance to employees and visitors by answering questions, giving directions, and escalating concerns to a supervisor and/or site management as needed.
- Support compliance with site rules related to restricted areas, sanitation zones, and controlled access points by providing reminders and requesting corrective action when required.
- Communicate with Allied Universal supervision, site contacts, and local emergency services when needed, maintaining clear radio and phone communications during routine operations and incidents.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
