Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Reynoldsburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as one team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail store, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence near entrances, fitting rooms, stock areas, and high-traffic merchandise zones, offering assistance and reporting suspicious behavior to management and/or law enforcement when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and clear communication.
• Monitor activity for potential shoplifting, loitering, and disorderly conduct, and complete accurate reports of observations, incidents, and actions taken.
• Control access to non-public areas as assigned, verify credentials when required, and coordinate with store leadership to support closing and opening procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
