What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, suspicious activity, disturbances, and medical facility policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, supporting check-in expectations, and helping to maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies, corridors, and common areas as assigned.
• Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, including unsecured doors, malfunctioning lighting, and unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site leadership per post orders.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and relay pertinent information during shift transitions.
• Assist with de-escalation and provide support during behavioral incidents in accordance with site policies, requesting additional resources when needed.
• Operate security-related systems such as radios, alarm panels, and video monitoring equipment as assigned, and notify appropriate personnel when issues are observed.
• Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, evacuations, and severe weather actions by following site-specific instructions and coordinating with responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccines are required for hospital roles.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
