As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, track visitors and contractors, and support badge and key control. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, entry requirements, and security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Verify identity and authorization for entry, including checking credentials, visitor logs, and delivery documentation to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Operate access control systems such as badge readers, key control, and gate controls, and coordinate access requests with site contacts.
  • Screen and process visitors, contractors, and vendors, including issuing temporary badges and communicating site rules and directions.
  • Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and communications equipment as assigned, and report irregularities per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical, fire, and environmental alarms per post orders.
  • Control vehicle and truck access, including directing traffic flow, verifying appointments, and documenting inbound and outbound shipments and deliveries.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, docks, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
  • Perform security-related inspections for open doors, damaged fencing, unsecured equipment, and other conditions that could impact operations.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and access records in a timely and accurate manner, and escalate issues through the chain of command.
  • Communicate professionally with plant personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership, providing clear updates during routine operations and incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations, accountability procedures, and access restrictions during critical events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
