Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Control in Springdale, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and support an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical campus calls for assistance, disturbances, and visitor issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, helping to maintain orderly flow in lobbies, waiting rooms, and high-traffic care areas while following facility guidelines.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations; complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to visitors, including wayfinding support and referral to appropriate hospital resources when needed.
  • Work with nursing units, administration, and local responders as directed during emergency response activities such as missing person alerts, disruptive visitor events, and severe weather procedures.
  • Use security-related communication equipment and systems as assigned, including radios, key control, and patrol verification tools, while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
