As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service, clear reporting, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, vendors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility-related concerns such as disruptive behavior, suspicious activity, and/or access issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, corridors, common areas, entrances, and perimeter areas as assigned.
  • Monitor and authorize access at entrances and controlled areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or unauthorized access to restricted spaces.
  • Assist with visitor management activities such as greeting, providing directions, and supporting sign-in processes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Observe and report potential security-related hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and communicate updates to site management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs using approved systems and/or forms.
  • Support emergency and/or evacuation procedures as directed, including coordinating with site personnel and/or local responders when needed.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as cameras, alarms, and communication equipment, and report malfunctions and/or concerns.
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide assistance to help promote a positive environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
