What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors, issuing temporary badges, and/or coordinating entry approvals per site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, production, warehouse, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, access control systems, radios, and camera systems when assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, fire-related conditions, and/or severe weather notifications.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Support receiving and shipping operations by observing truck arrivals and departures, documenting trailer and seal information when required, and/or directing drivers to designated check-in locations.
  • Conduct initial response to building and perimeter checks, including door and gate checks, lighting observations, and reporting maintenance needs through the approved process.
  • Assist with crowd and traffic flow during shift changes, deliveries, special events, and/or high-volume visitor periods, following site-specific procedures.
  • Operate in varying environments and conditions based on the location, including indoor and outdoor posts, standing and walking assignments, and changing weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
