Job Description




As a Security Officer Aero Patrol Security Clearance in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-profile aero and defense location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong observation and clear communication. You will respond to reports, document activities, and support access control needs while delivering customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal leaders and/or external responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access to an aerospace and defense location by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor requirements in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, deliveries, and visitors, and direct individuals to proper check-in locations as needed.
  • Perform screening and badging support tasks as assigned, including verifying appointment information and documenting access per site guidelines.
  • Operate and monitor access control systems, alarms, radios, and other site communications equipment, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Complete routine patrol documentation, incident reports, and daily activity logs with clear, accurate details.
  • Conduct security-related checks of doors, gates, loading areas, and restricted zones, and report maintenance or access issues to the appropriate contact.
  • Support emergency and incident response actions such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and accountability processes, following instructions from site leadership.
  • Provide directions and assistance to employees and visitors while maintaining a professional presence and courteous communication.
  • Work in various environments and conditions, including indoor and outdoor posts, standing and walking for extended periods, and adjusting duties based on operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
