Job Description




As a Security Officer - College Campus in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment by providing exceptional customer service and communication. Must be 21+ years of age and must have a valid driver's license

Minimum 1 year or more of Security experience required

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and/or potential hazards, reporting findings according to site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance and information when requested.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed reports, submitting them as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following instructions from site leadership and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to various situations that may arise within an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
