As a Security Officer - Dock Entry Screener in Chino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, where you will monitor access points, screen people and deliveries, and conduct routine patrols to help promote order and reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leaders, document observations, and provide outstanding customer service while living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers and/or vendors for authorized access into the distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
  • Verify identification, shipping documentation and/or appointment information prior to granting access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct screening of packages, bags and/or personal items as directed by post orders, using available screening equipment and visual inspections.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at doors, checkpoints and/or gate areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and unauthorized removal of property.
  • Observe loading dock and sort area activity and report suspicious or unusual behavior to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Use access control systems, visitor logs and/or badging procedures to document entries, exits and denied access events.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor cameras and alarms where assigned, escalating issues according to site procedures.
  • Write clear and accurate incident reports, screening logs and daily activity reports.
  • Communicate professionally with operations personnel, drivers and visitors to support smooth movement through checkpoints.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
