As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol Driver in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and tenant requests with strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry for employees, contractors, and guests in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or property damage, and coordinate notifications to site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete routine security-related inspections of doors, gates, locks, and lighting, and report issues through the designated reporting process.
  • Observe and report alarms, unusual conditions, and/or rule violations, and document actions taken in required activity logs and incident reports.
  • Provide visible presence during high-traffic periods, special events, and/or tenant move-ins and move-outs, supporting orderly operations of the property.
  • Assist with directing vehicle and pedestrian flow in parking areas and around delivery zones as needed to support site operations.
  • Use Allied Universal communication equipment and systems, such as radios, phones, and reporting tools, to relay information clearly to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Follow post orders and shift assignments, including rotating patrol routes and checking designated checkpoints as required by the location.
  • Support property management and maintenance teams by reporting hazards, unsecured areas, and other conditions that may impact operations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor while interacting with the public, and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
